PANAJI: The crime branch of Goa police on Friday placed Afroz Saiyadbin Arab, a Gujarat native, under preventive arrest with the arrangement to hand him over to Gujarat police. Arab is booked in a murder case registered at Limdbdi police station in Gujarat.
Tracking his whereabouts based on his mobile location, the accused was located at South Goa on Thursday, but when the crime branch team reached the location, they couldn't trace him.
Crime branch officials said the Gujarat police team has already left from Gujarat to take custody of the accused.
